More than 50 third-grade pupils at Schneeburg Primary School experienced contemporary dance impulses during their dance project weeks. Under the artistic direction of a choreographer, together with two dancers, the classes and their teachers explored how to express themselves with their whole bodies and all their senses — how to move fluidly across the space, to jump, roll, and travel, and how to explore a theme through dance.
Microscopic worlds beneath the earth were observed and drawn, and a wide variety of dances were created from what the children had seen. Expressing colorful emotions purely through the body led to highly imaginative, humorous, and individual dance pieces, which were presented to parents in a final showing.

creative transfer 2025/2026 at the Secondary School - Creative encounters with Insects!

“Learning through arts” is an aesthetic education program that takes place under supervision in all 5th grade classes at Kepler Gymnasium in Freiburg. For the third time, a very special dance collaboration with Kepler High School will take place in May 2026: all fifth-grade students will be introduced to the medium of contemporary dance and performative action, exploring its diverse possibilities for expression and personal development during their morning lessons. This year, the project will be conducted as an interdisciplinary unit combining German, Art, Biology, and the artistic guidance of guests from bewegungs-art e.V. In all subjects, students will engage with the theme of the artistic transformation of “Insect Worlds,” which will be explored collaboratively with the artists through performance and movement.
