more about our choreographers

Sebastian Zuber

is currently based in Basel and has a background in dance theatre. His work spans performance, dance, installation, opera and acting. He creates dystopian, pop-aesthetic performances that explore the role of the individual within social and universal systems.
For the stage programme, he aims to blur the boundaries between process and performance, empowering emerging artists to trust their own artistic voice.

Arno Schuitemaker

is currently based in Amsterdam. He studied in the Choreography Department at Fontys in Tilburg, has run his own company for over 10 years and toured internationally. His performances are hyperphysical. They engage the audience physically, emotionally and imaginatively, inviting them into a shared space where movement is felt above all else, bringing people closer to each other than they usually are.
For this programme, his intention is to create a language that speaks directly from and to the body.

Rafaela Sahyoun

lives between São Paulo and other international locations. She works as a dancer, choreographer and educator, navigating these roles through relational landscapes of performative practices and context-driven co-creations. She studied dance in New York City and London at the Trinity Laban Centre for Movement and Dance, graduating from the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance (SEAD) in Austria. Her choreographic work draws on synesthetic dramaturgies to create immersive landscapes in which audiences and performers navigate zones of perception as a shared field.
In this programme she will orchestrate the unique forces present in the group, proposing procedures that activate the collective within their differences.
